Berney Associates' mission is to help organizations meet the challenge of change by coaching and inspiring executives and their teams in the art and science of leadership.

Berney Associates came about after Liz left her position at George Mason University as an Assistant Professor in Organizational Psychology. Dissatisfied with the speed and impact of academic research on real-world problems, she wanted to apply her knowledge to the practical challenges faced by leaders in both the public and private sectors.

Liz continues to teach as an Adjunct Professor for Executive Programs both at University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business and the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith's School of Business, as well as Maryland's online MBA Program.
